He said that in addition to this, some of the Line 1 trains were moved to lines 5 and 9 to provide a greater flow of passengers, since these will receive more users during the closure of Line 1. In addition to this, they do not rule out incorporate more RTP buses to the route between Pantitlán and Balderas.
“We are doing everything in our power to minimize the inconvenience, that is why Line 9 and Line 5 are going to have more trains – which are Line 1 – to be an alternative, and also Metrobús, Trolebuses, RTP and I am going to be, personally, attentive to my colleagues, the Secretary of Mobility, the director of the Metro, in case more buses are needed, we already have the possibility of contracting more buses so that they do not have problems in mobility”, I point out.
Sheinbaum added that every day there will be follow-up meetings for both the works and the mobility operation.
This weekend was the closure of the section between Observatory and Isabel la Católica to make preparations for the works that will begin on July 11 from Salto del Agua to Pantitlán, so there were long lines of users at stations such as Pino Suárez, Observatory and Tacubaya.
In this sense, the head of government explained that during the morning and part of the afternoon of Saturday, adjustments were made in logistics, which also served as a rehearsal for the closing of next Monday.
