Government of CDMX extends the Christmas festival in the Zócalo to January 6

The christmas vervain will stay in the Plinth until January 6, 2023, the head of government of Mexico City announced this Friday.

The official explained on her social networks that due to the registered success, it was decided to extend the presence of mechanical games and other activities in the Plaza de la Constitución, however, she said that on January 1 it will remain closed.

“I inform you that the Christmas festival in the Zócalo has been so successful that we will extend it until January 6. It will only be closed on January 1,” Sheinbaum wrote this Friday afternoon.



The christmas vervaininaugurated on December 17, has an amusement park made up of mechanical games, such as a Ferris wheel, a carousel, as well as recreational areas with different themes.

In addition, attendees can enjoy an ice slide and a Santa Claus train.

Musical shows are presented on the main stage continuously, as well as special film performances.

The entrances to the verbena are in the streets Francisco I. Madero and in 20 de Noviembre.
