The Minister of Justice of BrazilFlávio Dino, affirmed this Friday that there was “planning” in the attacks against the headquarters of the Presidency, Parliament and the Supreme Court last Sunday.
Dino said at a press conference that the planning of the attacks was demonstrated by the document seized by the Police in the house of former Justice Minister Anderson Torres.

The document corresponds to a draft of the decree that would have allowed Jair Bolsonaro to intervene in the electoral Justice with the aim of reversing the result of the October 30 elections, according to a report from efe.
“The document configures a fundamental element for the understanding of cause-effect. It is a nexus of the relationship of the events that open on October 30 and go until January 8. It shows that they are not isolated cases; there was planning,” he said.
The authorship of the decree is unclear and has yet to be investigated. But, it provided for the declaration of the State of defense (a State of exception) to intervene in the Superior Electoral Court and carry out a “correction of the presidential electoral process”, according to the first article leaked by the newspaper. Folha de Sao Paulo.

The text was confiscated last Tuesday during a Federal Police search of Torres’ house in Brasilia, who has an arrest warrant for his alleged responsibility in the assaults on the palaces on Sunday.
Torres said on Twitter that the draft decree, dated December, without a specific day, was in a pile of documents “to be discarded” that was going to be “shredded.” He also said that it was “taken out of context” and reaffirmed his “respect for Brazilian democracy.”
The former minister is in the United States and has announced that he intends to return to Brazil to collaborate with the Justice, which is investigating him because at the time of the assaults he was Secretary of Public Security in Brasilia, responsible for the regional Police, which did nothing to stop the mob of radicals.

Nearly 1,800 people were arrested for the attacks, which caused extensive damage inside the Planalto presidential palace, the National Congress, and the Supreme Court headquarters.
The events of January 8 culminated in an escalation of attacks by the radical Bolsonaristas against democracy, which from the day after the elections began mobilizations to encourage a coup against Lula, who assumed power on January 1.
