THE Single Registration (CadÚnico) will be updated from March to receive more featuresannounced the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Hunger Fighting (MDS). The new platform will be launched on Tuesday (18), in Brasilia.
Among the tools of the tool are training systems, fraud monitoring and availability of reports on the inserted data, which can be accessed by Single Registry Management Portal .
CadÚnico is the main system for inserting low-income families in public policies such as Bolsa Familia, Step, Social Tariff of Electricity, Gas aid and My House My Life. It is also used by state and municipal governments to select beneficiaries of local policies. In January 2025, the database had 40.6millions of registered families.
According to MDS, the platform will no longer be a data repository to being a system that will allow the update and development of new features.
“The new Single Registry will represent a significant advance in public policy management in Brazil, providing a more integrated platform, efficient and aligned with the current needs of states, municipalities, Federal District (DF), programs, users and citizens,” said the agency by note.
From March 1, the registration form will be available offline, allowing data collection to be performed in places without internet, by tablets and cell phones. According to the folder, the data to be registered have not changed since the last updates in 2024.
The entire database is being migrated from the old system to the new system by the Dataprev Technology and Information Company, which also developed the current version. The new CadÚnico is expected to be made available on March 20, with the database and all new online features.
According to the MDS team, the old version of Cadunico will be unavailable during the migration, but the inclusion and registration update actions will not be interrupted. Municipalities may make use of offline forms or paper version. “The main federal programs that use the Single Registry, such as Bolsa Familia and the Continuing Benefit Benefit (BPC), will only perform punctual benefits to ensure compliance with the rules, avoiding overloading the municipalities during the migration period,” he said .
