The Minister of Productive Development, Néstor Huanca, affirmed that details are being finalized so that the Plurinational Trade Registry Service (Seprec), which will replace Fundempresa, becomes operational on April 1, a transition that concludes on March 31.
“We are currently finishing the transition process from Fundempresa to this new entity that has been created by the Government, such as the Plurinational Trade Registry Service (Seprec), for which details are being finalized with the opening of offices, hiring of staff for customer service, technology to be implemented, among others,” said the authority.

He recalled that through Supreme Decree 4596, approved in October 2021, the creation of the new public entity was ordered and that until this March 31 the transition of what until now is Fundempresa must be completed, since from the first days of April will start with the trade register.
Huanca stated that legal certainty, continuity of interoperability, costs and others are guaranteed for all production units, as well as for large and medium-sized companies, which are registered in Fundempresa.
In 2002, when Fundempresa took over the public registry of commerce, there were nearly 50,000 companies, by 2021 the registry exceeded 345,000.
