Government files complaint for attack that left two workers injured in Lumaco

In Araucanía, the government filed a complaint for the armed attack on a van in which two forestry workers in the Lumaco district were injured with pellets.

The legal measure of the Executive is driven by the crime of less serious injuries and damages. The attack occurred when two workers were on the Forestal Mininco property and were injured by pellet impacts while traveling in a motorized vehicle along with other co-workers.

This was confirmed by the Presidential delegate in La Araucanía, Raúl Allard, who indicated that these events, which affect coexistence, will be prosecuted regardless of their motivation.

“For our government, people are our center and priority, and for this reason, we will not hesitate to decisively prosecute this type of crime that affects our coexistence. Regardless of the origin and motivation from which it comes and that are unacceptable in our rule of law” , he stated. “We are working intensely in general on the necessary conditions for dialogue, social peace and regional coexistence,” he added.

After the attack, the Public Ministry ordered the arrival of personnel from OS9 and Labocar de Carabineros to the site of the event in order to carry out the first expert reports. For their part, the workers were transferred to the Hospital of the Chilean Security Association in Los Angeles.
