Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Ministry of the Interior and Police extended from this Wednesday until January 8 the drinks vending hours alcohol throughout the territory from Sunday to Thursday until 3:00 in the morning and Friday and Saturday until 4:00 in the morning, while on the 24th and 31st there are no restrictions.
The measure is contained in resolution 009-2022, which establishes the flexibility of the schedule for the celebration of the Christmas and year-end festivities and also contains a call for restraint and an exhortation to share with the family, in the community with harmony, to remember that the spirit of these dates is union.
The measure warns that its violation would lead to the temporary or permanent closure of the establishment and the cancellation of the license or permit to operate, without prejudice to other legal sanctions.

It indicates that the National Directorate for the Control of the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages (COBA), with the support of the National Police, will ensure compliance with the provision and will promote the pertinent actions in accordance with the laws.
“The Ministry of the Interior trusts the good sense and maturity of the population, which it expects to enjoy these festivities with restraint and have the family as the nucleus in its celebrations to welcome 2023 with joy and take the necessary provisions so that its environment is safer ”, indicates the entity in a statement.
