The Government executed RD$42,710.1 million in its social programs until the 13th of this month, according to the budget execution report of the General Budget Directorate (Digepres).
This year’s budget has allocated RD$43,564.4 million in spending on social protection, which represents an execution of 98.7%.
The largest amount corresponded to the Supérate program, with RD$41,019 million, out of a total of RD$41,549.5 million.
RD$29,254.7 million were allocated to the Aliméntate program, while Supérate Mujer consumed RD$88.1 million of a budget of RD$88.8 (The Aliméntate Program corresponds to the Supérate Card).
In the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Subsidy program for households, RD$7,360.8 million was spent out of a total of RD$7,369.9, and RD$3,988.1 million were spent on Bono Luz out of a total of RD$4,366 million.
The execution of the LPG Transportation Subsidy was RD$548.4 million out of a total of RD$558.5 million for the year.
According to the Digepres publication, RD$327.4 million of a RD$369.4 million budget was executed from the Disability Bonus.
In the Aid to the Elderly program, all of what was budgeted was executed: RD$381.8 million.
The Higher Education Incentive program executed RD$106.7 million of RD$108.9 million.
The Navy Enlisted Incentive program was not implemented at all. In the original budget, an amount of RD$46.8 million was allocated.
The two programs of the Ministry of Education (Aprende y Avanza) spent RD$654.4 million of a total budget of RD$654.6 million.
Learn executed the amount allocated for the entire year: RD$121.2 million, while Avanza spent RD$533.2 million of RD$533.4 million.
Last October, spending on social protection included subsidies and social aid: Alimétate for RD$2,463.7 million, LPG Home Subsidy for RD$629.9 million, Bono Luz Subsidy for RD$390.5 million; LPG Transportation Subsidy for RD$47.2 million, Disability Bonus for RD$38.1 million, help for the elderly for RD$33.3 million, Higher Education Incentive for RD$10.6 million, Supérate Mujer for RD$8.7 million.
The execution of social programs is a responsibility of the Presidency of the Republic. It was originally budgeted at RD$45,231.8 million and was later reduced to RD$43,235.2 million.
