Government evicted the possibility of modifying the date of the census as stated by the authorities of the three departments of the axis of the country. The Minister of Development Planning, Sergio Cusicanqui, said that none of the 10 minutes signed contained an opposition to the official schedule. Likewise, he minimized the contributions made by the technicians in the municipalities of Santa Cruz and La Paz.
“In none of the tables has opposition been expressed to the schedule and the information presented by the INE, there are no minutes, you can review, you have access to all the minutes and the conclusions of the meetings, and in none has there been any rejection or technical opposition to the schedule presented by the National Institute of Statistics”, said the minister when asked if at the end of these visits the census will be ratified in 2024.
From August 8 to 26, the Government gave a national tour visiting the capital cities to explain the scope of the new government proposal that is to carry out the national survey in 2024. Now the Government has recounted those visits and minimized the contributions they made in the meetings.
“The proposal of the municipality of the University of Santa Cruz, just as they themselves have said in the meeting, has been prepared based on information from press releases, did not contemplate in its proposal the sequentiality or the possibility that some tasks are parallel, and most importantly, that in no case does it meet or have taken into account international parameters. In the municipality of La Paz, a proposal has been presented basically for what is the statistical cartographic update, which is a proposal that only reaches the municipal level”, said the minister.
