Government did not reach an agreement with the carriers and the strike continues

Transport unions demand that heavy transport be considered a public service

No agreement was reached and the still stands. Representatives of different transport associations ended their meeting with the ministers of Juan Barranzuela and Roberto Sánchez, since the morning hours but no consensus was achieved.

Due to this, the plan for the national strike of heavy cargo carriers continues, which is planned for this Monday 27.

“The strike continues, we remain in permanent session. We have spoken with the minister, with the authorities, but we have nothing in particular, there is no agreement, there is no agreement and we continue in our permanent position of dialogue”, said the leader Javier Marchese.

After the meeting, the representatives of different unions called for calm, despite not reaching any agreement with the Government, however, they indicated that they will wait for what is defined in the extraordinary Council of Ministers that will take place this Friday.

“We calmly await the results of the PCM meeting,” they indicated after the meeting with representatives of the Executive Branch.
