Government deposits 2023 budget in Congress

The Government deposited this Wednesday night the General State Budget Bill 2023 in the Chamber of Deputies.

The General Director of Budget, Jose Rijo Presbottogether with the Deputy Director of the Budget, Iván Ramírez, delivered the project to Francisca Ivonny Mota, General Legislative Secretary.

According to a brief publication by the General Directorate of the Budget on its social networks, the project consists of five books:

Volume I: General State Budget Bill 2023

Volume II: Explanatory report and medium-term spending framework

Annex I: Budget of income and expenses of the central government

Annex II: Budget of income and expenses of autonomous and decentralized non-financial bodies and public Social Security institutions

Annex III: Physical, financial and results-oriented budget.

The total stipulated amount was not reported. However, on September 15, after a meeting of the Council of Ministers, it was said that next year’s budget could amount to one trillion 33 billion pesos.
