The humanitarian assistance that the Government, through the COED, arrived in the municipality of San Javier on Tuesday night so that the Municipal Emergency Center (COEM) of San Javier could distribute it to the families of 45 communities affected by the inclemencies. of the climate.
Patricia Viera, Secretary of Institutional Management, explained that the aid delivered consists of 2 tons of water, hydrating drinks and non-perishable food, and is part of the donation that private institutions and ‘kind-hearted people’ sent to the COED.
“Today we are delivering the humanitarian assistance that the Government collected, we are giving it to the Mayor’s Office, through the COEM, to make it reach more than 45 communities. In San Javier the fires have stopped, but we are in a post-fire stage, where the needs are many, which is why our commitment to continue providing more help to our people,” said Viera.
He added that the help of institutions and private companies will allow assistance to continue reaching the provinces that are affected by the fire today.
For her part, María del Carmen Morales, widow of Prado, director of the Departmental Territorial Coordination Service, stated that the Government will continue to assist families that have been affected by the fire.
“In these moments of emergencies we embrace the citizens who live in the department of Santa Cruz, we will continue working for all those who need help due to the fires without distinguishing political colors because the responsibility of our first authority in the department is with its people,” he noted.
Likewise, he highlighted that in this post-fire stage the Government has been working in San Javier with the permanent provision of two water tankers that carry the vital liquid to the ‘Javiereño’ neighborhoods and communities.
Finally, Carlos Yaveta, deputy governor of the Ñuflo de Chávez province, explained that currently the Government, through Proasu, is undertaking water well drilling work and will soon begin a project that will benefit the adult population of the area.
