The administrative minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, delivered an important contribution to the Dominican Agrobusiness Board (JAD) for the acquisition of necessary equipment.
For such purposes, the institution received a release check in the amount of RD$11,298,000 (approximately US$207,000), for the purchase of equipment that will serve to expand services to the dairy cattle sector and the country’s dairy industry.
Paliza recognized the great work that the Agribusiness Board has carried out over the years, not only for the benefit of its members but also for all the farmers who knock on its doors.
“We know that this support that the Dominican Government is giving today will help substantially the entire sector and will be able to further support the efforts that are being made from here,” he added.
On his side, Osmar Benítez, executive president of the JAD, thanked for this support and promised to return the value of the investment in services to the country’s producers, under the coordination of the Ministry of Agriculture.
He also said that they will continue working on their mission to support, encourage and promote the development of national agricultural production by implementing high-tech production practices, offering market information services and business opportunities for associates and state-of-the-art laboratory services.
Paliza made a tour of the different laboratories that the institution has in operation. There she learned about its machinery and in detail the measurements and results that are carried out in favor of the processes.
The brief act was held at the facilities of the Dominican Agribusiness Board, and Raymundo Roig, treasurer of the Board of Directors, and Rafael Ortiz, Vice Minister of Agriculture, were present.
