Low-income families in Coronel Fabriciano, a town in the Vale do Aço region, east of Minas Gerais, received the keys to their own home this Thursday (26). In all, 500 housing units were delivered through the Casa Verde Amarela program. R$ 37.5 million were invested in federal resources for the works. The inauguration of Residencial Buritis was attended by President Jair Bolsonaro, the Minister of Regional Development, Daniel Ferreira, as well as politicians and authorities from the region.
“To those who are receiving the keys to their house today, congratulations. I know the value of a home of their own. Really, it is like a letter of manumission, freedom and the certainty of having a roof to live in for the rest of your life,” Bolsonaro said.
Among the 500 beneficiaries, 401 are women responsible for the family economy. In addition, between men and women, there are 61 elderly people and 61 people with disabilities, the government said. The residential has 25 blocks, each with 20 apartments, divided between ground floor and four floors.
The condominium has complete infrastructure, with drainage, sewage, water, paving, electricity, public lighting and public transport. Nearby, there are health and safety posts, schools and day care centers.

The president arrived in Minas Gerais in the early afternoon. Bolsonaro landed at Ipatinga airport and, from there, went by motorcycle to the city of Coronel Fabriciano to deliver houses.
After the agenda in Vale do Aço, Bolsonaro and his entourage head to Belo Horizonte, where he participates, from 8 pm, in the inauguration ceremony of the president of the Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais (Fiemg), Flávio Roscoe, who was re-elected to the charge. After the event, he returns to Brasília.
