The national government delivered 107.05 tons of foodclothing and work tools to 3,586 families affected by floods and floods, in four municipalities of the department of Santa Cruz.
The Minister of Defense, Edmundo Novillo, was in charge of delivering the humanitarian aid to the mayors of the benefited municipalities, in facilities of the Transportation Battalion II of the Santa Cruz capital.
For the municipality of Comarapa, the 48.47 tons of food in rice, sugar, noodles and oil, in addition to clothing, to support 1,678 families; while 667 families in the municipality of Saipina receive 20.78 tons of similar aid in food and tools in wheelbarrows.
Similarly, the municipality of San Carlos benefited with 5.61 tons of food, clothing and wheelbarrows that will cover the needs of 180 families; while the municipality of El Puente received 32.19 tons of food and tools for 1,061 families, general support that adds up to an investment of Bs 896,313.40 for the four municipalities.
Novillo also highlighted that the Vice Minister of Civil Defense, Juan Carlos Calvimontes, delivered humanitarian aid in Villamontes and yesterday it delivered more than 600 water storage tanks to municipalities in the Chaco Cruceño.
The populations benefited are Cabezas, Charagua, Cuevo, Kereimba Iyambae, Lagunillas and Boyuibe, from Camiri; In addition, the municipalities of Huacaya, Machareti, Muyupampa, Monteagudo and Huacareta, from Chuquisaca.
