Within a series of measures adopted by the government to support companies bordering Argentina, exemptions from fixed charges were included for companies in those areas. This Monday, the Executive Power published the decrees for SBI and joint venture.
The two decrees took into account the difficulties that the exchange situation with Argentina is generatingwhich mainly affects border departments with land crossings and in a closer radius.
Also that this situation causes damage to retail trade with an impact on the labor sector and therefore it is necessary to continue adopting measures to contemplate the impact on the different sectors of activity.
With those fundamentals urged OSE to waive the fixed charge for the supply of drinking water and sanitation and UTE for the supply of electricity to a group of retailers of goods and services.
To receive those benefits, businesses must be within a maximum radius of 60 kilometers from the border crossing. If they meet this requirement, they will be exempted for a period of six months, renewable depending on the evolution of the current situation, as stated in the decrees.
