Government begins third Council of Ministers meeting at the National Palace

Gobierno inicia tercer Consejo de Ministros en el Palacio Nacional

Santo Domingo. – The third Council of Ministers meeting began a few minutes ago in the Government Council Hall, National Palace, headed by President Luis Abinader.

Although the meeting was scheduled for 6:30 and started around 6:42.

As they arrived, the ministers and directors followed their usual protocol process of leaving their cell phones before entering the room.

It is recalled that last week the president held a meeting at the Municipal Palace of the Santo Domingo Este City Hall and after concluding, the Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, reported that this session of the Council of Ministers was to take stock of the Government’s actions in the last four years in Santo Domingo Este, and what are the plans for the municipality in the second term of President Abinader.

The mayor of Santo Domingo Este, Dio Astacio, was present at the meeting, as well as several deputies and councilors of the municipality.

The last session of the Council of Ministers was held on August 26 at the National Palace, where it was established that all public officials must sign an ethical commitment to best practices and best behavior in the exercise of their public functions.
