Government begins eviction and demolition of occupation in Antofagasta: occupants attacked Carabineros

After exhausting all administrative instances, the Government carried out the eviction of the seizure of public land in the Alto Costa Laguna sector, in Antofagasta.

The procedure had the participation of the Presidential Delegation of the region, and the Ministry of National Assets. However, three people who lived in the area confronted the Carabineros, for which they ended up in custody.

A complaint received by the Carabineros after the police action indicates that the land was sold to the people who lived in the take for amounts ranging between 600,000 and one million pesos. Neighbors in the area had filed nearly 500 complaints for criminal activity in the area.
