From February of next year, Caixa Econômica Federal will begin paying the salary bonus for the 2025 financial year. The calendar was approved by the Deliberative Council of the Worker Support Fund (Codefat), in an ordinary meeting held on the afternoon of this Wednesday- fair (18).
The credit will be made in a staggered manner, according to the workers’ month of birth. Those who have a checking or savings account with Caixa will receive it directly into their account. At Banco do Brasil, payment of the benefit will be made, primarily, by credit to a bank account, through PIX, transfer via TED or, even, in person at service agencies.
The other beneficiaries will receive the amounts through Digital Social Savings, automatically opened by Caixa, according to the payment schedule. According to the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE), the estimate is that around 25.8 million workers will receive the benefit, totaling R$30.7 billion.

What is the salary bonus
Established by Law 7,998/90, the salary bonus is equivalent to the value of, at most, one minimum wage, to be paid according to the annual calendar established by Codefat to workers who meet the requirements set out in law. Payment resources come from the Worker Support Fund (FAT).
The salary bonus covers private sector professionals and public servants who formally worked for at least 30 days in the base year of 2023, with remuneration of up to two minimum wages (R$ 2,640.00). In addition, you must have been enrolled in the program for at least five years and the employer must have provided the correct data in RAIS or eSocial. The value of the bonus varies depending on the number of months worked in the base year, reaching up to the minimum wage.
