Government appoints Cristina Ojeda as health seremi of Los Ríos: position was vacant for two months

The Government of the President Gabriel Boric appointed to Christina Ojeda as the new health seremi of the Los Ríos region, after two months without a holder in the position.

The new authority is a militant of Social Convergence and served as chief of staff of the previous SEREMI, Jose Llambias Gallardowho resigned for “personal and family reasons” at the beginning of August, leaving the position vacant for two months.

The presidential delegate of Los Ríos, Paula Pena, supported the decision indicating that Ojeda has the necessary experience for the position. Likewise, he thanked the role that Denisse Hermann had as deputy health minister during these two months.

Trajectory

Cristina Ojeda is a pharmaceutical chemist from the University of Valparaíso, with a diploma in Public Health and in Prevention, Promotion and Education for Health from the University of San Jorge, Spain.

Through a statement, the Government highlights that the new Los Ríos Health Department has vast experience in the public and private spheres, as well as in primary health care and family and community health.
