Government announces that it has “very relevant elements” in the investigation of the first corporal kidnapped in Ecuador

After the kidnapping of Luis Toledo, first corporal of the Navy who is missing in Ecuador, the Minister of the Interior, Carolina Tohá, assured that she already has information about the people behind the incident.

In this sense, Tohá confirmed that “there is already information, both on the mobiles with which this kidnapping was carried out, and the people behind it. There are important elements regarding the group behind this, we have already advanced important element of the investigation.

Currently the Ministries of the Interior and Defense, in collaboration with the Investigative Police (PDI), are in contact with the Ecuadorian police through Interpol to request information and monitor how the situation progresses.

Likewise, Tohá stressed that the investigation has made substantial progress, where “it already has very relevant elements and procedures are being carried out to act with respect to these people involved, we hope that this is not only clarified and that the person can recover his freedom with full integrity physically so that he can be with his family.

It should be remembered that the kidnappers are demanding almost $90 million for his release, and they had given a deadline until yesterday, December 1, to make the deposit, or else they would make an attempt on his life. However, the information has not been confirmed by the attackers.
