THE Federal Government will invest R $ 2.4 billion in the purchase of more than 10,000 health equipment for basic care and surgeries, applying margins of preference to products made in Brazil and with national technology. The information was released on Monday (4) by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services.
“This means that Brazilian equipment can be purchased even if their prices are between 10% and 20% higher than similar imported,” the folder said in a statement.
The first competition is scheduled to start this week-the equipment list was published last Thursday (31). Purchases, focused on the Unified Health System (SUS)will be made by the Ministry of Health via Notice, under the Growth Acceleration Program (PAC) Health.
According to the statement, the margin of preference gives differentiated treatment to manufactured goods and services developed in Brazil, provided that the defined nationality criteria are observed interministerial commission of innovations and acquisitions of the new PAC.
The note also points out that, currently, the Brazil produces around 45% of national needs in medicines, vaccines, equipment and medical devices, materials and other health inputs and technologies. The goal is to raise production to 50% by 2026 and 70% until 2033.

SUS supply
They are part of the list of equipment published last week 17 products for basic care and 11 used in ophthalmic surgeries and procedures, in the context of specialized care and also primary care.
In primary care, they are part of the List items such as cold chamber for vaccine conservation; Digital retinographer; Electrocauterium (electric scalpel), automatic external defibrillator, vascular doppler, low power therapeutic laser, physical therapy ultrasound and portable digital scale.
Already in Specialized attention, items such as anesthesia apparatus, radiotransparent electric table, portable ultrasound, ophthalmological surgical microscope, laser for ophthalmology and rigid video equopy system were listed.
