The presidential delegate of the region of La Araucanía, Raul Allardannounced this Tuesday the filing of a complaint for the armed attack by a group of unknown persons against a minibus in which Forestal Mininco workers were traveling, which occurred this morning in the Los Laureles sector, in Capitán Pastene, La Araucanía .
“A criminal complaint is being filed for these events that cause pain and suffering to humble families in our country,” Allard told the media.

“We condemn these events of the utmost gravity. They cannot occur in a democratic state of law. These are events that affect and threaten people’s lives,” added the authority.
As a result of the attack, five workers were injured by bullets. One of them suffered a ballistic impact on his head. The 66-year-old man was transferred to the El Manzanar post. Given the seriousness of his injuries, he was airlifted to the Temuco Regional Hospital.
The delegate pointed out that the man is in vital risk and is undergoing surgery.
The other workers were slightly injured and were treated at a local health center.
