The Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) is Guiding Gold Account users from Gov.br to use the checking tool in two stepsas will give more security to about 72 million users.
According to the folder, the change is not mandatory and, if adopted, it may be disabled at any time.
The ministry, however, points out that it is a “very effective security solution to block improper access when aligned with the use of biometrics”.
Currently, 27% of gold accounts already use this functionality.
The Gov.br platform has over 169 million users and offers over 4,700 federal digital services and another 8,700 state and municipal services.
Among the services most used by Brazilians are the signature gov.br, my INSS, my digital SUS, Enem, Fies, Digital Work Card and Digital Traffic Card.
Through the platform, it is possible to sign documents with legal validity, open companies and make vehicle transfer. There is also research for services according to the profile of the user, be it a student, farmer, tourist, entrepreneur or worker.
Activation
The Ministry informs that, From now on, when a person with gold account makes login on gov.br, they will be invited to activate the two -step check by the application.
“This first time, it will be possible to skip the activation, and will be sent an email or SMS warning that, in the next access, it will be asked to enable the solution,” he explains.
After this process, when making a new authentication, the suggestion of activating the recommended verification.
“If the user has a problem with the security functionality, it is possible to disable at any time, just follow the rules available in the GOV.br application in ‘Account Security’. The guidelines are also available on the portal,” said the ministry by remembering that it is possible to talk to an attendant to clarify any questions.
