Gov.Br sends messages to offer digital public services

The federal government has started testing a tool that will offer digital public services to citizens. Notifica Gov.Br, from the Ministry of Economy, entered the testing phase. In this first phase, drivers will receive guidance to obtain discounts of up to 40% on traffic fine payments.Gov.Br sends messages to offer digital public services

According to the Ministry of Economy, 40 thousand drivers in the country began to receive messages with instructions from the Gov.Br for the payment of traffic fines on time and with discounts of up to 40%.

If they do not make a prior defense or file an appeal against the notice, the notified drivers receive a 40% discount on the amount of the fine.

In this first stage, the initiative will assist drivers with traffic violations still to be paid. Drivers will receive messages through the Gov.Br application, by email and SMS on cell phone. Other services will be included in the sequence, informed the ministry.

Currently, Gov.Br has 116 million users. The solution was developed by teams from the Digital Government Secretariat of the Ministry of Economy and Serpro, with support from the National Traffic Secretariat (Senatran), of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

“With Notifica Gov.Br, we changed the logic of communication between the State and the population, as we began to offer services in advance. We become more predictive. In other words, it is not just the citizen who comes after the public service in Gov.Br. We started to offer them by customizing the user experience with the Gov.Br platform”, explains the secretary of Digital Government, Fernando Coelho Mitkiewicz, in a note.

The initiative is part of the Digital Government Strategy 2020-2022, which provides for the expansion of notification to citizens by at least 25% of digital services. Currently, 72% of the 4,800 Brazilian government services are completely digital.

Electronic Notification System

The ministry adds that the targets of this test are those drivers who have not yet adhered to the Electronic Notification System (SNE), available on the Digital Traffic Card application or on the Senatran service portal. They will be instructed to join.

The service applies to all fines applied, whether within the municipality, states or the Union. But those who already have expired fines do not participate.
