Contracts for the provision of services are paid by means of fees that the worker receives in exchange for providing a defined service in order to carry out a specific task and become a creditor of a stipulated remuneration.
These contracts can be made for work of a professional, technical or any other nature.
However, a few days ago, the President of the Republic Gustavo Petro assured that these contracts for the provision of serviceswhich according to him, “exploit the workers” they must end.

In accordance with the decision, the president assured that it will not affect the country’s economy. “In the formal world we believe that the contract for the provision of non-labor services, which conceals an employment relationship in a lying manner, only to over-exploit the worker, must go down in history and that we must return to the agreed labor relations”, Petro said in the framework of the ‘Ibero-American Forum: challenges of labor formalization’.
When will the measure come into force?
The Minister of Labor, Gloria Ramírez, assured that in the presentation of the labour reform A form of contracting will be proposed in favor of the advancement of labor formalization.
