Good Tourism Week in the Salto Hot Springs

Tourism Week left Salto and its hot spring area with good numbers according to local operators. The president of the Association of Hoteliers, Gastronomic and Related of Termas del Daymán, Diego González, said that the Tourism Week “can be classified as very good, we do not yet have numbers of the parks such as Aguas Claras and Acuamanía, but it was seen enough movement, although not overflowing as in previous years in which, for example, there was no place to park”. In statements to Salto’s daily change, he maintained that “as always, there are many things to correct together with the Intendancy, street vendors, traffic, schedule of activities and more.” González assured that the first part of the week, which runs from Saturday to Wednesday, hotel occupancy was good, and the second part, which runs from Thursday to Sunday, “worked really very well.”

He recalled that “it is a long-awaited week after two years without being able to work it, the Tourism Week is a great pillar in the economy of any tourism company, we always say that a week or a holiday does not move the numbers of the occupation of an entire month, but it helps a lot, now the challenge is to be competitive and try to keep Uruguayans betting on domestic tourism and attracting foreigners”.
