After a 17-year football career, Inter Miam’s Argentinian striker, Gonzalo Higuaím, announced his retirement as a footballer at the age of 34.
In a press conference that Higuaím, who played three seasons in Major League Soccer (MLS), where he scored 27 goals in 65 games, assured that “the day has come to say goodbye to soccer.”
Almost in tears, in his statements, he thanked all those who supported him during his career in football; But the comments on his withdrawal were immediate since some Internet users claimed that it was time for this announcement to be made, since his performance on the court was not as expected. Others encouraged him and congratulated him on his career.
