The ambassador also traveled to Strasbourg, headquarters of the European Parliament, to receive the sakharov prize to freedom of conscience. There he stated that he accepted the award “with humility” on behalf of the Venezuelans since it is the people who really deserve it, as well as highlighting that the violence they suffer from the administration of Nicolás Maduro is “a clumsy instrument to postpone sucker Punch”.
