The presidential candidate for the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD), Pedro Miguel González, detailed how his campaign is going towards the June primaries where I believe that despite the pressure there is to support the vice president, he has shown a proposal serious in his tours of the country.
“Within all the limitations resulting from the great pressure that there is from the government to support the candidacy of the vice president, we have managed to make a tour of 60% of the organization areas in part of the capital, in Colón, Veraguas, Coclé , Chiriquí, in all the Regions, we need the central provinces, Panama Oeste, San Miguelito and Darién that we will make that journey in the coming weeks, “he said.
Regarding the approaches of the pre-candidates and their vision of the country’s problems, González said “We are generating debate through our proposals and it is important that the general public be aware of the proposals of each of the candidates as they would face the various problems that the country has and how you can earn the trust of Panamanians based on that proposal.
Regarding if he is not favored in the primaries, he will continue to support the winning PRD candidate, González said “They will not see me in other electoral campaigns outside the party, but now that the figure of former president Martin Torrijos emerges, if the narrative that prevails It was suggested that the party is kidnapped, what I think will happen naturally is that the vast majority of party members would look for another alternative now with the presence of Martin Torrijos, I think the majority would take that path.”
