The Uruguayan Justice ordered the seizure of all accounts in the United States of corporations owned by Sara Goldring de Cukier and her children. They are being investigated in Uruguay for an alleged fraud in their stock brokerage Custodia de Valores Mobiliarios (CVM). Seized accounts have a capital of $20 millionreported to The Observer Eduardo Sasson, lawyer at Estudio Donnangelo – Duran-Sasson.
An investigation of that study – with correspondents in the United States – allowed to establish the date on which those investigated entered the money, and raised the findings to Justice. It was possible to detect the financial assets abroad, which were in the North American investment bank Jeffries. The money belonged to companies, the vast majority of which belonged to jurisdiction of Panama. The defendants and their families are its only shareholders.
According to Sasson, the defendants they tried to move the money from those accounts, without success. The foregoing was corroborated by the Central Bank of Uruguay.
The companies chaired and directed by Goldring de Cukier threw losses in the order of US$ 100 millionand she was denounced for misappropriation and fraud.
