The export price of gold He led the performance of foreign trade in June. According to the BCR, the precious metal price increased 44%and, together with the copper rise (19.9%), promoted traditional exports to US $ 5,136 million, which represented an interannual growth of 9.2%.
With this result, mining sales increased 12.2%, while the traditional agricultural item expanded 99.7% for higher volumes and coffee prices.
For their part, non -traditional exports reached US $ 1,758 million, 17% more than in June 2024, thanks to the increase in volumes (24.4%), particularly in the fishing and agricultural sectors.
Growth occurred in almost all markets, except in the Andean community: agricultural shipments went to China and Europe, textiles to the United States, and fishing to Asia and Europe. The advance was attenuated by the drop in the average price of agricultural products due to the largest Peruvian fruit supply.
As for the result of the first semester, traditional shipments added US $ 29,578 million, 15.6% more than last year, while non -traditional exports accumulated US $ 10,371 million, with a growth of 21.7%.
