Iñaki Osa Goikoetxea and Unai Lekerikabeaskoa are the winners of the VI World Cup after defeating Erkiaga and López by 10-15 and 12-15 in the basket World Cup final played in the Mexican town of Toluca.
The winners beat the pair who, in principle, was the favorite to take the victory in two sets. Despite trailing 10-8 in the first set, they scored eight in a row with the ball alive to get 10-14 ahead.
In the second game Erkiaga and López took the lead (6-3 and 7-4) but Goikoetxea and Lekerika managed to tie in cards 7, 8 and 10, to later take the victory.
