The vice president of Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, Vladimir Padrino López, described the development of Exercise Independence 200 as a “great success,” when presenting the balance of the tasks carried out for the installation of the Comprehensive Defense bodies throughout the country. This deployment, which involved the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), the Bolivarian Militia and various institutions, managed to consolidate the operational cohesion and strategic preparation of the nation.
“With this closing of the cycle, we have reached the optimal point of preparation of the people and our forces, in unity and commitment to the defense of Venezuela,” said Padrino López, who also serves as Minister of Popular Power for Defense.
The exercise, which extended from La Guaira and Carabobo to the plains states of Cojedes, Guárico, Barinas and Portuguesa, included the execution of 27 key tasks and subtasks. These actions were verified on the ground together with regional authorities, consolidating the Comprehensive Defense Commands and evaluating the potential of each region in public and private spheres.
Among the notable achievements are the activation of territorial logistics support systems, the defense of cities and the verification of the comprehensive aerospace defense system, strengthening operational capacity throughout the Venezuelan space.
The deployment continues in Binational Zone number 1, with a presence on the coasts of Falcón, La Guaira and Anzoátegui, while in the east of the country Operation Cumanagoto 200 remains active, with a military presence in Sucre, Delta Amacuro, Amazonas, Apure and Guárico, as explained in the video posted on their social networks.
“We continue to advance along the path of national unity and the absolute preparation of our power to defend democracy, dignity and sovereignty. We will win!”, Padrino López concluded.
