“We are obliged to defend our Venezuelan Constitution, which calls us to the comprehensive protection of the homeland (…) we must all fight to free ourselves from the meanness of the ambitious,” said the Sectoral Vice President of Defense and Sovereignty, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, during the event of the Combatant Corps of the Working Class.
In the activity, Padrino López highlighted the unity of soldiers, workers and militiamen in a block of national power. “Here we are soldiers, workers and militiamen, united in a single block, but when they see us united like this with the purpose of struggle, we send the world a message of transformation, resilience and resistance that must prevail.”
The senior official stressed that the existence of an anti-imperialist project in Venezuela generates external pressure, but reaffirms the route towards its own development. “As long as an anti-imperialist project exists in Venezuela, we will have pressure from the empire, because historically they have tried to subdue us for their egos. That is the reality of history, but we are on the path of development of building our own, in perfect union between the people, the police force and the military.”
Likewise, he emphasized the importance of human dignity and faith as guiding principles. “Subjecting, enslaving or placing a human being below is unviable and contrary to dignity. History has shown that returning to guardianships that are believed to be superior is anti-Christian. The misuse of power, the lack of ethics, are not Christian values. That is why we cling to the word of God, always crying out for peace and human harmony from Venezuela to the entire world, with respect for the concept of sovereignty. These Christmas dates are to share with the family and surrender to faith.”
Finally, Padrino López highlighted the progress of the constituent process in different social and military spaces. “This year we have consolidated the nation in a true constituent process, present in barracks and communes, facing interventionism and deepening the most sacred of our political and economic project.”
