Godfather calls for unity and serenity: Intrigue and sectarianism do not help peace

Padrino called himself a “peace militant” and assured that his purpose has always been to avoid “bloodshed” between Venezuelans and the Armed Forces.

The Minister of Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, expressed his support for Delcy Rodríguez and called for unity and serenity.

Through a statement published on social networks this January 12, the head of the military office indicated that the National Armed Forces supports and abides by Rodríguez’s call for unity.

«Intrigue does nothing to help peace today; Sectarianism does nothing to help peace today; and sterile polarization does nothing to help peace. “It is the moment for national unity and historical consciousness!” said the soldier, who called himself a “peace activist.”

Padrino assured that his purpose has always been to avoid “bloodshed” between Venezuelans and the Armed Forces. It is for this reason that – as he said – he reaffirmed his call for unity and serenity in the country.

“The same call that I made in critical moments such as in 2014, 2017 and 2019, when the process of aggression against our homeland accelerated, today I reiterate it more strongly than ever,”
