Jorge Luis Gobea, Director of Senafront, referred to the operations with biometric tests, saying that since the beginning of this new Government, 17 people with criminal records have been detected with these tests.
“With biometric tests we have detected 17 people with criminal records or linked to a criminal organization this month. This technology allows us to identify them by their background and level of danger,” said Gobea.
Regarding the fences placed to close off clandestine crossings, Gobea indicated that they have an important purpose: “We do not want to create a dam for migrants, but rather to have them walk through a single place. We know that organized crime seeks out these routes to exploit these people and the intention is for everyone to pass through a single path.
