With his first call for the Brazilian team, goalkeeper John is experiencing a special moment in his career. In an interview on Tuesday (7) to CBF TV, the athlete of Nottingham Forest (England) said he is making a dream.
“I am very happy, I thank God very much. The record is falling little by little, it was a dream to be here and today is being realized,” said the goalkeeper, who was called to the vacancy of Ederson, Fenerbahçe (Turkey), who was cut because of a physical problem.
In the interview, John made it clear that he faces the next two commitments of the Brazilian team (in front of South Korea and Japan) with great expectation: “I will face every day with an opportunity. Just being here is already a great opportunity. In training and everyday, I will give my best.
Nottingham Forest player also stated that working in the national team under the command of big names in world football is a dream: “It’s all a dream being here in the national team, with great professionals like Taffarel and Ancelotti. They are great figures for the national team, so being here for me is very happy.
Brazil’s first commitment on October FIFA will be against South Korea, next Friday (10) from 8am (Brasília time) at the Seoul World Cup stadium in Seoul. Then it will be time to face the Japanese, next Tuesday (14) from 7:30 am at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo.
