During a parcel export check at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, 84 packages of suspected cocaine were seized by military personnel from the GNB’s Zone Command No. 45, together with the Special Anti-Drug Unit.
According to the part of the security body, a total of 1,229 kilograms were seized, which was hidden in the false bottom of 42 pairs of women’s shoes, which had Italy as their destination.
In this case, the military began investigations to determine the rest of those involved.
Likewise, the guards, assigned to the Second Company of Detachment No. 451, intensified the export checks of parcels. The case was transferred to the Public Ministry.
