After several patrol day in the coastal area of Castilletes and Corojó, Guajira municipality to the north of the Zulia state, members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) managed to seize 108 kilos of cocaine.
The drug pressed in 100 Panelas of the Psychotropic was discovered in a place in the posthoure sector of the Venezuelan Guajira, buried in a xerophilic vegetation area.
In addition to the seized drug, two boat -type vessels were held with outboard engines, which were hidden in a nearby mangrove.
The case has been made available to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and commissions are maintained in the place to find those responsible for the cargo of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
“This important confiscation is a hard blow to drug trafficking in the region and demonstrates the commitment of the GNB in the fight against this scourge,” military authorities reported through an official statement.
