The insurer explained that after a series of works with the Secretariat of Administration and Finance of the Government of Mexico City and the Metro Collective Transportation System, on April 13 an agreement was reached for the repair of the damage.
“As leaders in Mexico in civil liability and damage insurance, this has been the biggest challenge we have had. fire event in the Control Center had extreme complexities to be able to determine the loss, which required a special effort from all those involved in the process,” said Jorge Flores, CEO of the firm.
In February 2021, the Metro control center suffered a fire due to a short circuit and almost three months later, on May 3, a section of Line 12 collapsed.
