The constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic, Nicolas Maduro Moroshanded over the 4 million 600 thousand house, a new milestone for the Great Housing Mission Venezuela (GMVV)and offered historical figures on July 20, announcing that 1,255 urban developments with all their services and habitat have been built in the country, representing almost 10,000 hectares of land and a size equivalent to six (6) times the surface of the city of Geneva, in Switzerland.
“These nine thousand 837 hectares represent six times the city of Geneva. We have built the city of Geneva six times to deliver homes to our people”, summed up the head of state from Chichiriviche, Falcón state, where he unveiled the landmark sculpture that symbolizes the historic delivery of 4 million 600 thousand houses built and delivered by the GMVV.
“We did it, we did it and we keep moving forward. 4 million 600 thousand houses, what we are going is pa`lante”, expressed the national president from the East Coast of Falcon, in the company of Governor Víctor Clark and the authorities of the socialist mission, legacy of the Commander Hugo Chávez Frías.
In other historical figures, Maduro reported that 39,580 tons of cement were used, which is equivalent to building 10 power plants the size of the El Guri Complex in Bolívar.
In addition, the GMVV has used 1,232,961 kilometers of electrical cables. Taking into consideration that the diameter of the planet is a little more than 40 thousand 66 kilometers, in Venezuela a number of cables have been used that would go around the Earth 30 times in a linear fashion.
Regarding glass, the GMVV used 43,000 square kilometers of this material, which would be enough to cover 123 times the surface of Lake Valencia, in Carabobo state.
In steel and rebar, the GMVV has used 16,766 tons, which would serve to build 838 bridges the size of the legendary road structure over Lake Maracaibo.
“These are figures for the work material, without counting the tools, doors, windows, ceilings, bathroom pieces, tiles, materials that are being produced in Venezuela, which we now produce in the country,” added the national president.
The president pointed out that the imperial blockade tried to paralyze everything in the nation, but it turned out to be a boomerang for its authors and forced Venezuelans to produce and advance.
“They wanted to harm us with the persecutions of the imperialist blockade, they did social damage, but wanting to sink us, Venezuela has refloated, has been reborn and we have turned damage into a good to work and produce for the Homeland,” he warned.
“And that is the path, we are on the correct side of history, on the correct path of effort and national awareness, of the affirmative and Venezuelan identity, of effort and sacrifice, of that faith in the future, of that hope that the future will always be better built in the Bolivarian Revolution. The renewed hope of a people”, pointed out the head of state.
