After 12 years of the Great Housing Mission Venezuela (GMVV), mechanisms have been established for the participation of Popular Power but also for inter-institutional support, that is, joint work.
In this sense, the deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Rigel Sergent, in an interview for the Café en La Mañana program broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), stressed that the issue of housing is not only governed by the Ministry of Power Popular for Habitat and Housing, but there are other entities involved.
“The Superior Housing Body has been created, which meets weekly where different construction entities participate, the organized people also meet there. We believe that the Housing and Habitat Law must be adapted to this participation and there can be no housing if a correct land policy is not generated, ”he said.
In turn, the deputy indicated that another way to consolidate another housing policy is the self-construction of co-management and family and multi-family self-management, and that is why work is being done “so that this Law allows for the recognition of these other forms of production, mainly for the working class that is organized in public or private workplaces or in the territory through Communal Councils, Communes or Assemblies of Viviendo Venezolano, among others”.
At the same time, he stressed that thanks to the policies emanating from the working class, after the birth of the GMVV, a Law is proposed that allows progress in the participation that guarantees the right to housing.
