Gloria Foods – JORB SA, of the group Gloryobtained authorization from the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office (FNE) of Chile to continue with the purchase process of the company Soprole, according to the Peruvian company.
Last year, the Peruvian company announced, through an important fact submitted to the Superintendence of the Securities Market (SMV), that it had signed a purchase and sale agreement with Fonterra Investments for the acquisition of Soprole SA, a leading brand in the dairy products in Chile and sells milk, cheese and powder, flavored milk, cheese, butter, among others.
Now, after receiving the go-ahead from the free competition agency of the southern country, Glory He stressed that they will continue to adequately comply with the “usual conditions for this type of operation.”

The executive director of GloryClaudio Rodríguez, highlighted the decision of the Chilean organization and indicated that this is a “fundamental step” for the purchase process of the company that operates in Chile.
“We will guarantee the continuity of the company’s strategic plan at the head of its current management team. This will allow us to build synergies and contribute to socially responsible development”, he assured.

In a statement sent to the Peruvian regulator last year, Gloria Foods reported that the transaction would be for a price of US$210 million plus the cancellation of the debt with Fonterra of the companies acquired upon closing the business, which adds up to US$641 million. .
