The so-called national holidays were the prelude to the recent attacks on the Zapatista community of Nuevo San Gregorio, in Los Altos de Chiapas. The Fray Bartolomé de Las Casas Human Rights Center (Frayba) documented the actions of an armed group that with total impunity looted houses and the autonomous school, which, Frayba assures, “confirms the omission and acquiescence of the federal and state governments ”, because “the criminal groups act with all normality”.
