A 12-year-old student died after ingesting Clonazepan to fulfill a challenge she imposed on herself along with other schoolgirls, according to police sources.
The minor lived in Turumo, Caucaguita parish, Sucre municipality (Miranda), from where she was transferred to the Ana Francisca Pérez de León hospital located in Petare, where she died.
After taking the pills, the girl commented that the challenge was to stay awake, because the first to fall asleep lost, as agreed with other girls at school, according to the first police investigations.
Currently, the Cicpc maintains an open investigation into viral challenges that caused 179 people to be poisoned by toxic gases inhaled by students from the Carlos María González Bona (Barinas) and 27 de Junio (Portuguesa) high schools.
In that case, the challenge is known as Chroming, which consists of inhaling gases and holding your breath, as reported on social networks.
A 14-year-old adolescent and an 18-year-old adult are being investigated for this incident.
