I say potentially because Cuban justice is in the hands of the same people who knew, covered up and, most likely, participated in the crimes that Gil is now accused of, which are so many, so serious and committed in such a short time, that it seems that his only function at the head of the Ministry of Economy was to commit crimes.
Now it is time to conduct the farce carefully so that the candle does not rise above the knees, while managing to divert a little attention from the crisis in the East, from the exponential increase of the epidemiological risk because of the floods, of the looming famine due to the loss of the little that is still produced in Cuba, of the dealing with donations, of the little dog mercilessly abandoned by the rescuers of a regime that approved an Animal Welfare Law just to get rid of the claims of animal rights activists, of the meanness of that same regime, which considers it an act of benevolence to grant bank loans and sell materials at half price to families who, before the hurricane, did not even have what enough to feed.
They try to move the focus away from all of this by sacrificing Alejandro Gil, who was very comfortable in the depths of collective forgetfulness.
