Tania Gianmarco Lanni submitted a letter to the editorial office of Last News where it states that “I never had anything to do directly with the provision of the treatments that were applied” to Gilberto Correa.
This Sunday, May 1, the attorney general, Tarek William Saab, reported through his twitter account that “Prosecutor’s Office 16 of the AMC Public Ministry is #investigating Tania Gianmarco Ianni for alleged #mistreatment, #Illegitimate deprivation of liberty and medical dose increase: to the detriment of citizen Gilberto Correa”.
In this regard, Tania Gianmarco says in her letter that “at no time have I tried absolutely anything against said citizen.”
The woman indicated that the information aired in the media “generates doubts about something unfounded that damages my reputation, my dignity, my honor and calls into question the affection, affection and respect that I have always shown during so many years of living with Gilberto.”
Gianmarco said he had no knowledge of the open investigation of his person by the Public Ministryas announced by the Attorney General on Twitter.
We learned from judicial sources that a document was filed with the 14th Court of Control in Caracas requesting that this instance order the Public Ministry to give Tania Gianmarco access to the file.
In the aforementioned document, the investigated person says that they have denied the file, which curtails her right to defend herself, enshrined in article 49 of the Magna Carta. This even though her private defender has consigned a notarized power of attorney to the 16th Prosecutor of the Public Ministry, among other requirements.
