The entertainer and publicist Gilberto Correa denounced that the Public Ministry acts in an “incongruous” manner in the open trial against Mariana Tania Giammarco Yanni, the woman who allegedly tried to assassinate him.
Specifically, Gilberto Correa pointed out through a video that the Public Ministry did not promote any of the eight witnesses that he suggested to prove during the trial that indeed Mariana Giammarco wanted to liquidate him gradually.
“The Public Minister used these witnesses to carry out the Prosecutor’s accusation, but without being promoted to the oral and public trial, causing a procedural inconsistency, as well as damage to my condition as a victim. How are they not going to promote any of my witnesses? I don’t understand”, Correa asked himself, after learning about the matter.
The trial against Mariana Giammarco, charged with attempted murderbegan last Tuesday, April 4, at the 18th Trial Court of Caracas in charge of Ghilda Molina Carrillo.
“How is none of my means of proof going to be promoted, nor my eight witnesses? It’s like going to war without weapons”, criticized the animator of Sensational SaturdayVenevisión’s star program.
To this string of questions, Correa adds that “how did the control court in the preliminary hearing admit three witnesses of the defendant who have nothing to do with my case?”
Among those witnesses that Mariana Giammarco will bring to defend her, is Karina Correa, the daughter of Gilberto Correasituation that he questioned.
“Even my own daughter, who is over 15 years old, does not come to Venezuela and cut off all relations with me and support because I denounced her employee,” he said, alluding to Mariana Giammarco.
Indeed, since 2021, Gilberto Correa’s daughter hired Mariana Giammarco to take care of her father, because he had divorced and had Parkinson’s disease that caused his condition in the vocal cords and motor part. For all that work, Giammarco would charge $100,000 and a truck, Correa revealed.
“I spoke to my daughter and she told me that it was a necessary evil, that she couldn’t help me because she wasn’t in the country, that she wasn’t a judge and never fired her. I asked my lawyers not to declare publicly on the subject and not to sue my daughter for family reasons, to leave everything in the hands of the Public Ministry and auxiliary bodies such as the Cicpc,” Correa said.

Here are the witnesses that Gilberto Correa requested to testify in the trial and that the Public Ministry did not include in the list, according to the file.
· The neurologist. On 09/09/2020, this medical professional issued a treatment for Gilberto Correa consisting of 25 MG of Quetiapine. But Mariana Giammarco supplied 300 MG instead of 25 as ordered by the neurologist.
· Three domestic employees. These workers refused to supply the medication indicated by Mariana Giammarco because they considered it exaggerated, according to their testimonies. “The order (from Mariana) was that if I didn’t want to take the medicine because I felt high and my heart was racing, they would blend it with Toddy and coffee or any drink,” Correa said.
· The building watchman. This witness gives an account of the alleged isolation suffered by Gilberto Correa while he was in the hands of Mariana Giammarco starting in 2021.
· Three friends of Gilberto Correa. They are also witnesses of how the events occurred, that is, the alleged psychological abuse, prohibitions and impositions to which he was subjected by the woman and those who helped him break the silence.
