The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, met last Saturday, September 27 with the United Nations Secretary General, António Guterresand thanked his support in reference to the military deployment that the United States maintains in the Caribbean.
According to Gil, the maximum UN representative told them “who considers the US military threat in the Caribbean unjustified and unacceptable.” He insisted that American action violates the UN letter and “puts at risk (the) stability and sovereignty of the entire region.”
Once again, the Venezuelan Chancellor said that the intention of the Donald Trump administration is a “regime change.”
Through a message on Telegram, Yván Gil defended his nation and said it is a country free of illicit crops and without incidence in drug trafficking.
“The United Nations System must reverse its inaction and not allow another criminal aggression against innocent peoples, such as the current genocide in Palestine, which would only lead to continue destroying the principles of the UN and multilateralism, already convalescent today,” said the minister.
Before the UN General Assembly, Gil reaffirmed that Venezuela “It is not a threat to any nation” And he accused the US of inventing lies to justify what the Venezuelan authorities describe as “atrocious, extravagant and immoral threat.”
